Presidental Desicions in USA

US HISTORY

THEME: PRESIDENTIAL DECISIONS.

USA is a country which decision had a great impact to the country, people and even other countries. And all these decision could not have been passed without approval from the President at that time period. Most of the decision passed by President in the US did not have only significant impacts on American society but also other countries with particular reasons behind.

A good example to the Presidential decision in US is Franklin. D. Roosevelt with the decision to propose the New Deal. Another is Harry S. Truman decision to drop atomic bomb on Japan and Lyndon B. Johnson decision to declare the ‘‘War on Poverty’’

President Roosevelt during depression time in USA, he had to pass New Deal so that he could improve living condition of people. By combating the Great Depression, New Deal was the term used to restore American’s sense of hope and refer to the relief. Recovery and reform programs.

New Deal decision had a positive impact to the American society especial majority love it hence Johnson got the second term elected after the first which he took from Roosevelt death. The economy during world war1 was controlled much better and much more were done like job provision to people. All these provided relief and stability in financial institutions also better life of people.

The attack of Pearl Harbour was the day to live an infamy in American History. Under Roosevelt the next day, Dec 7, 1941 asked the Congress to declare war on Japan
This can also be part of reason to the broken policy of neutrality and involvement in WW11.

After the death of Roosevelt, Truman became the president of US. Truman had to maintain the strategies or ruling ways used by Roosevelt. Dropping of Atomic bomb on Japan was one of his decisions to finish the war and test the power it had. This action had a major impact on the land of Nagasaki and Hiroshima. USA community was also segregated from the day of attack in Pearl Harbour and Japanese-American was sent to concentrated camps for safety. Japan lost a lot of people from the bomb and the places which were targeted had been destroyed badly by the bomb and hence US showed no mercy on the issue but rather that referring them to their attack.

Johnson, Lyndon was the 36 President who expanded social assistance with his Great Society program increased commitment during Vietnam War. This President due to the worst circumstance he found, the assassination of Kennedy and governed during divisive periods he had to declare the ‘‘War on Poverty’’

Johnson decision was powerfully and quick under his Great society programs were able to lift American societies. People were out of poverty and promoted equal right of citizen. His decision was favourable to people all around USA hence they saw difference made after his power. Lyndon Johnson did get problem in the next election. He got second term Presidential and he didn’t stop to use his Great society program to improve living condition of people and get ride of Great Depression.

Therefore not only decisions make change but make impacts to people places and have to have a reason behind. Many decisions have been made but several Presidents of USA which left impacts behind which might be considered positive or negative. But much more all these decisions are what made our country to stand out with great History behind it carries. Decision made by President in any country have are important especial when the country is in need of those decision at that particular time period.
